Foreningen vandt Børnesagsprisen i 2019.
---------------------------------------
The association FairFremtid is a non-profit organization that has existed since 2014, with the purpose of promoting better and more just conditions for asylum-seeking children or children of asylum-seeking parents while they are in Denmark. We also work with children and families who are at risk of deportation. The services we offer are:
- Legal work within the Aliens Act, Family Law and the Children's Act
- Psychosocial support via family therapy
- Social support with a view to securing the child's developmental opportunities
We work holistically in all cases, which means that we tailor each process to the child's and the family's needs. In practice, this means that some receive all three services at once, while others are offered one or two of our services. As a volunteer you will therefore experience being several people working on the task, although with different work efforts, and where close cooperation is the key to succeeding in the task of ensuring the child's well-being.
In 74% of our legal cases we achieve the desired case outcome, which for example means that we have secured a residence permit. The association won the Children's Case Prize (Børnesagsprisen) in 2019.
Your role
- Hold conversations with children and/or parents with a view to improving the child's well-being
- Guide in the use of model learning
- Contribute to the team's professionalism and handbook
- Contribute to or lead training of the association's other volunteers
You will become part of a team with high professionalism and development, with regular supervision every other week with team coordinator, psychologist Josefine Sandau Nymand, and the rest of the team, as well as ongoing individual sparring.
Our expectations of you
- You are expected to participate in a minimum of 2 volunteer meetings a year, where you will meet the other volunteers in the organization and help contribute to the problem-solving on others' cases. The volunteer meetings take place on the last Thursday of the month between 18:00 and 20:00, however the volunteer meeting will be replaced by mandatory supervision with an external psychologist every third month. The supervision takes place in the same time slot as the volunteer meetings.
- You are expected to be able to commit to 2 hours weekly for a period of 6 months.
- It will be an advantage if you speak Danish, Arabic or Farsi.
- You are curious about the target group and able to think creatively in problem-solving.
Please send your application to our daily manager.
We look forward to hearing from you!
