Newrest Denmark A/S is one of the largest multi-catering companies in the world and is present in 54 countries. Newrest Denmark A/S is new in Scandinavia, where Newrest Denmark A/S provides catering services to SAS and Ryanair.
Due to an expansion in the customers' business, Newrest Denmark A/S is looking for truck drivers for loading and unloading of catering services at Copenhagen Airport. It is a requirement that applicants have a driver's license for large trucks (Category C).
Tasks:
- Loading and unloading equipment from aircraft and ramps, to and from trucks.
- Checking the number and type of equipment before loading.
- Ensuring that cargo is delivered within deadlines and in the correct condition (including with the correct seals).
- Communicating by radio with relevant colleagues regarding transport operations.
- Moving around the airport while observing internal and external guidelines (e.g., traffic and safety rules).
- Filling out various safety documents, including HACCP.
- Helping to ensure that all equipment (including trucks) and ramps are in good condition and order.
- Communicating and collaborating in a service-oriented manner with internal and external partners (including cabin crew).
Profile:
The right profile is characterized by:
- Being able to demonstrate attention, precision, and stability.
- Having experience working in an environment where hygiene, quality, and safety are paramount.
- Having good communication and collaboration skills.
- Being able to work under pressure.
- Being able to work in different shifts, including occasionally on weekends.
- Having a full truck driver's license and preferably an EU license.
- Being flexible and adaptable.
- The ability to communicate in Danish and English is mandatory.
- Experience driving a high loader is considered a plus.
If applicants meet the above criteria, they are well on their way to becoming part of the Newrest Denmark A/S team. Applicants will have approximately 70 colleagues in Newrest Denmark A/S's Drivers department and become part of a unit with approximately 400 employees in total.
The job is a full-time position, which currently means 35.5 hours per week, including lunch breaks. There will be evening and weekend work.
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be able to pass a background and security check, which requires, among other things, the presentation of a clean criminal record.
