The University invites applicants for a full-time Teaching Assistant Professor to the research group of Veterinary Anatomy and Pathology, Section of Parasitology and Pathobiology, Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences to commence 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The research group of Veterinary Anatomy and Pathology focuses on the development of models for human and veterinary diseases in mammals together with the development of new diagnostic methods. This includes animal infectious diseases and welfare-related lesions as well as laboratory-related aspects.
Besides the research activities, the research group is also highly involved with teaching in relation to veterinary education.

Stillingen er forbundet med dyrlægeuddannelsen og omfatter primært undervisning i kurser relateret til veterinær anatomi og patologi, herunder vejledning af studerende. Kandidaten skal kunne bidrage til og videreudvikle undervisningen inden for veterinær anatomi og patologi.
The Teaching Assistant Professor responsibilities will primarily consist of:
- Delivering of teaching (including lectures, exercises, assessment, evaluation) in anatomy and pathology for undergraduate veterinary students.
- Development of teaching strategies and materials.
- Engaging in pedagogical training and implementation of relevant and novel educational tools in the daily teaching environment.
- Contributing to administrative tasks related to teaching including taking on course responsibility.
- The position does not require independent research, but there are opportunities to collaborate with ongoing research initiatives.
- It is a requirement to undertake and complete the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen assistant professor pedagogical degree (adjunktpædagogikum).
Furthermore, each applicant must be able to document:
- DVM degree and authorization to practice veterinary medicine in Denmark, or eligibility for Danish veterinary licensure within three months of appointment.
- Documented teaching experience of veterinary students.
- Strong interpersonal and communicative skills.
Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant professional organizations.

The position is 37 hours per week and is not time-limited. The successful candidate must complete university pedagogy training and may, upon positive evaluation, be employed as an associate professor within 6 years of employment.
The average weekly working hours are 37 hours per week.
