Senior Quality Engineer

Relesys A/S is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join Relesys A/S' Engineering team at a pivotal moment. You will own quality end-to-end and help Relesys A/S ship better, faster, every single day.

Relesys A/S already has an established automated test suite across unit, integration, and E2E. Now Relesys A/S needs a dedicated owner to consolidate, standardise, and scale it, leading Relesys A/S toward continuous delivery as Relesys A/S grows. This is a hands-on, senior-level engineering role focused on quality. You will set the test strategy, write and review automation code, design CI/CD quality gates, and shift how the whole engineering organisation thinks about quality.

You will not be doing this alone. You join a group of leads covering QA, Developer Experience, and DevOps who work hand in hand on engineering productivity, and you partner closely with Relesys A/S' Platform Engineering team on tooling and infrastructure. You will also work with QA engineers who build and maintain test coverage day to day, while developers own the tests for their own code. Your craft is QA, and you set the standard for it.

You own the quality standards and have the final say on what blocks a merge. The gates you define are binding. You have no direct reports, so your impact comes from setting standards the team trusts and wants to follow, not from mandating.

Relesys A/S' stack includes SQL, .NET, Angular, Azure, and Playwright.

Your key responsibilities

• Own the testing strategy across the full test pyramid (unit, integration, E2E, and API) and expand coverage with Playwright where it adds the most value.

• Own the quality gates inside Relesys A/S' Azure CI/CD pipelines that give developers fast, reliable feedback as part of Relesys A/S' path toward continuous delivery.

• Raise the bar on how developers test through shared standards, hands-on code review, and coaching. Quality is everyone's responsibility, and you make that practical.

• Own the quality metrics that matter: escape defect rate, change failure rate, coverage trends, and DORA metrics, and use them to drive real improvement.

• Drive a shift-left culture in close collaboration with Platform Engineering, making quality a natural part of how engineers work.

Who are you?

• Strong programming skills. You are comfortable writing, reviewing, and owning test code in a production codebase.

• You have worked at least 7 years in software or quality engineering, with a strong focus on test automation.

• Hands-on experience with a test automation framework such as Playwright or Selenium.

• You have designed or contributed to CI/CD pipelines with meaningful quality gates, ideally in Azure.

• Experience with API testing.

• You understand DORA metrics and know how to use them to drive improvement.

• You have been part of or led a transformation from release-based to continuous delivery.

• You know how to influence engineering culture and raise quality standards without managing the people you work with.

• You communicate clearly in written and spoken English .

• You are based in or near Copenhagen, Odense, Vilnius, or Kaunas.

Furthermore, it would be great, but not required, if you:

• Have a SaaS product company background.

• Have experience with Performance testing (k6, JMeter).

The hiring process

• The process starts with a Teams call with the Talent Department.

• An in-office or online interview and casual first talk will be held with Relesys A/S' Head of Engineering.

• An official interview and technical challenge will follow with the Head of Engineering, team members, and Talent, either online or in the office.

• The final step is the Assessio Personality test, which all Relesys colleagues take. The purpose of this test is to strengthen Relesys A/S' cross-collaboration by becoming more aware of each person's unique strengths, communication style, and where Relesys A/S makes each other stronger!
