Developing and manufacturing optical components for the constantly growing AI, telecom and datacenter markets, Ignis Photonyx is in urgent need of an Optical Test and Measurement Engineer, whose main task is to measure and verify the produced optical chips. Are you Ignis Photonyx's new colleague?
The Job
Ignis Photonyx is looking for a test and measurement engineer to be a part of Ignis Photonyx's T&M operation. Ignis Photonyx produces optical waveguide components, mainly AWGs, in Ignis Photonyx's ISO class 5 cleanroom. In the T&M lab, there are 5 setups operated by operators almost 24/7.
These setups are homemade by using standard optical parts and are controlled by Ignis Photonyx's own developed LabVIEW, Python and C# code. The daily tasks range from operator support, over equipment error handling, to developing new test methods.
Key Tasks
- Keeping test setups within calibration and configured to the required product.
- Develop and maintain Ignis Photonyx's LabVIEW code and data system.
- Optical measurements and experimental test setups.
- Programming and software development, e.g., LabVIEW, Python or C#.
- Test automation, instrument control and data acquisition.
- Data handling and analysis.
- A hands-on approach to building and troubleshooting experimental setups.
You are
Ignis Photonyx expects you to be strong in experimental work and have good theoretical insight. You may hold an M.Sc. with a relevant profile within optics, physics or LabVIEW. Skills in fiber optical test and measurement are desirable. Preferably, you will also have skills in the following areas:
- Optical measurements and experimental test setups.
- Programming and software development, e.g., LabVIEW, Python or C#.
- Test automation, instrument control and data acquisition.
- Data handling and analysis.
- A hands-on approach to building and troubleshooting experimental setups.
- Working experience from a high-tech manufacturing company will be an advantage.
- English language at a professional level, both written and oral.
- Familiarity with Danish language will be an advantage.
