About the role
Develop payload firmware that communicates with Explicit ApS' drone systems (MAVLink / DJI) and the onboard gas sensors.
Help bring new gas sensors from datasheet to bench to flight.
Improve and fix existing payloads, diagnose issues on the bench and in-flight data, harden the firmware, and ship the fix.
Build small interface and breakout PCBs in KiCad, from assembly and bring-up through to your own revisions.
Potential for CAD and other mechanical work, depending on your qualifications.
About you
A bachelor’s degree or similar/higher in electronics, robotics, computer engineering, mechatronics, physics or similar.
1+ years of hands-on experience, from your studies, a project, or a job.
Tinker with Arduino/Raspberry Pi type projects.
Wired up and used Serial/UART, I²C, SPI, etc., not just read about them.
Basic C/C++ (or Arduino) and a bit of Python.
English at a professional level.
Nice to have
Curiosity about drones, sensors and physical measurements.
PCB design/KiCad experience, with signal/noise integrity knowledge.
CAD and/or mechanical knowledge.
Python for log analysis and quick tooling.
