JBT Marel is currently recruiting for the position of Field Service Technician (Controls) for JBT Marel's Wenger Equipment. In this position, you will be responsible for servicing JBT Marel's Wenger Equipment. In this role, you will ensure JBT Marel's systems operate at peak performance. You will represent JBT Marel with professionalism, flexibility, and dedication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and troubleshoot PLC programs.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Be familiar with a variety of extruder/dryer processes and procedures relating to electrical and PLC matters.
- Perform a variety of complicated tasks, including leading and directing operators and other Technicians.
- Other duties as assigned.
About You:
You are a skilled service technician with expertise. You thrive on solving technical challenges in the field, are comfortable traveling extensively, and can adapt to diverse customer environments globally.
You will bring:
- A technical background (education or equivalent experience).
- Experience with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley PLC.
- Knowledge in ControlLogic, RSVIEW3, Factory Talk SE & ME.
- Experience servicing, maintaining, or commissioning complex machinery or capital equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach. n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- A proactive and independent mindset, with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and passport, with willingness to travel globally (approximately 50%).
- Flexibility to work weekends as required.
