The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in leading GastroJob.dk's culinary team, driving excellence in food quality, service, and operational performance in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will develop and implement strategies aligned with GastroJob.dk's property and brand, setting clear goals and providing inspirational leadership. You will oversee day-to-day operations of GastroJob.dk's kitchen, manage team performance, and ensure financial targets are met while maintaining high standards of sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction. A strong focus on team development and creating a positive work environment will be key to success in this role.
About you:
- Detailed culinary knowledge; demonstrated strong leadership and strategic planning skills; and proven achievements in optimizing guest and team member engagement.
- Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably within a high-end restaurant or a similar setting such as a high-end, fast-paced banquet kitchen.
- Experience successfully leading in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing demands.
- Strong interpersonal, team member relations and leadership abilities.
- Technically savvy and familiar with culinary operating/budgeting systems and spreadsheets.
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
- Knowledge of Danish working conditions and collective agreements is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in the Danish language is preferred.
- Professional and appropriate business appearance and demeanor aligned with the 1 Hotel brand and culture. Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
